Orbiter.Finance Layer 2 Bridge
Orbiter Finance is a decentralized Layer 2 bridge that you can bridge ETH, USDC, & USDT between a bunch of different Layer 2’s. They seem to be adding more all the time. But at the time of this writing they support ETH between zkSync, StarkNet, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, BNB Chain, Immutable X, Loopring, ZKSpace, dYdX, Metis, & Boba. They also support USDC between Ethereum, ZKSync, and Arbitrum. And USDT between Ethereum, ZKSync, Arbitrum, Polygon, and Optimism.
The technology behind Orbiter is using cross-rollups which makes the transactions safer and more secure than cross-chain bridges. The community has experienced many hacks on other cross-chain bridges because it’s hard to secure the liquidity, which makes it a huge target for bad actors. I’m excited to watch Orbiter grow into one of the best Layer 2 bridges.
Currently liquidity is provided by the team but in the future this will be decentralized with the Maker System that they are building.
